Aspire knows this can be immensely challenging.
There is a huge learning curve as you figure out what you need to know to not only care for your child but to help them survive and thrive. New terminology to understand, treatments to learn, and procedures to master on your own at home outside of the hospital. There may also be siblings, a partner, and possibly a job outside the home as well.
What about self-care?
That elusive, truly important, and often much overlooked critical piece that’s required to keep your family running. It’s essential for your sanity, for the benefit of your children, and for the family as a whole. When parents are stressed and not managing well, children tend to follow suit.
